Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food hosted Fort Smith public school kindergarten and first grade teachers about food, nutrition and how to create curriculum that combines healthy nutrition with STEAM elements.

These training sessions are a result of a collaboration between Brightwater, Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) and the Fort Smith Public School System to address nutrition issues and promote healthy lifestyles at an early age.

NWA District Representative Stephanie Blevins attended a Brightwater training on Wednesday, August 21 2021 on behalf of Governor Hutchinson to show his support for the initiative.
